Professor David Irving, Director R&D at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service and IMNIS mentor in the MedTech-Pharma program (NSW).

Professor David Irving commenced with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service in October 2008. With formal training in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology (PhD from the Australian National University and Post-Doctoral positions at Rockefeller University, New York) and more recently management, David has over 20 years’ experience working in biomedical and life sciences, primarily in the biotechnology industry in the area of biopharmaceutical research, product development and commercialisation. David holds an honorary appointment as Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and is a member of the Alliance of Blood Operators R&D Working Group.
