Zain Akram, mentee in the 2018 MedTech-Pharma program in QLD (Griffith University)
Zain Akram was an IMNIS mentee in the 2018 MedTech-Pharma program in Brisbane. She is currently in the 3rd year of her PhD at Griffith University. For her PhD Zain is screening the natural compound library to find anti-HIV compounds, using a yeast-based bioassay. Zain joined the IMNIS program as she felt she was living in a scientific “bubble” where she was unaware of the option outside academia.
