MENTEE – Yi Pei

Dr. Yi Pei received her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019. Her PhD research focused on integrating photonic crystals in tissue engineering scaffolds for the dual functionalities of biosensing and drug delivery.

Dr. Yi Pei joined Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2020 and her current research interest lies in developing biosensors that can detect pathogens including SARS-CoV-2 virus.
