Ramona Chauhan, mentee in the 2019 MedTech-Pharma program in WA (Curtin University)

I am a Ph.D Student from Curtin University, WA and have chosen “STEM” as my field of study. The topic of my research is “STEM Education: Development and Validation of an Accessible Automated Mathematics Tool for Students Who Are Blind.”

I have published a research paper which was accepted in “One Curtin International Postgraduate conference 2017” held in Miri, Malaysia from 10th to 12th December 2017. The idea of “giving back to the society” has motivated me to pursue the research with vision impaired people. My one and half years of literature review about the same topic has given me more insight towards my research topic.

I have a corporate experience of two years as a “Technical Support Officer” in India and Australia as I have worked with companies like “IINET-Australia” and “HCL Technologies -INDIA”. My academic experience includes 3 and a half years in lecturing, mentoring, invigilating and marking exams at an Engineering college in Northern India.

I have done my Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering and Masters in Information Technology from reputed Universities of India.
