Mohammad Farouq Sharifpour, mentee in the 2019 MedTech-Pharma program in SA (The University of Adelaide)

Mohammad Farouq Sharifpour received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Urmia University, Iran in 2014. After graduation, he started to work as a veterinary practitioner for two years. Being offered the Adelaide Scholarships International from the University of Adelaide, SA, Australia in 2016, he travelled to Adelaide to commence his PhD project on transcription regulatory systems in the model Apicomplexan, Toxoplasma gondii, which is currently ongoing. He also spent four weeks as a visiting researcher in Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research, Melbourne, Vic. Australia, working on finding new artificial transcription factor fusion proteins for Toxoplasma.”
