Kay Myo Min, mentee in the 2019 MedTech-Pharma program in SA (University of South Australia)

I have recently commenced the second year of my PhD studies at the University of South Australia/ Centre for Cancer Biology in Adelaide. The focus of my PhD research is on investigating novel molecular signalling pathways involved in the growth and spread of pancreatic cancer, with a special interest in tumour blood vessel development. Aside from cancer biology, I have also worked on diabetes research during my honours year. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a research assistant for 2 years at UniSA. My goal is to utilise my doctoral degree to continue working in the field of medical research and be a part of global innovative changes that will lead to translational health outcomes.
