Hayley Leake, mentee in the 2020-21 program in SA (UniSA).

Hayley graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Class I Honours) from the University of South Australia in 2012. Upon completion, she worked clinically at the Royal Adelaide Hospital for five years before returning to study a PhD. Hayley’s doctoral research centres around the development of pain education interventions for adolescents with chronic pain. She is also interested in understanding the mechanisms of complex treatments for paediatric pain. Her research involves collaborations with children’s pain researchers at Stanford University, as well as experts in statistical methods for mechanistic research at Oxford University. Hayley holds a research assistant position at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) in Sydney.
