Fatematuz Zohora, mentee in the 2018 Energy-Minerals Resources program in QLD (QUT).

Fatematuz Zohora is currently doing her Ph.D. at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Mechanical Engineering. Her research project is pipeline damage monitoring using acoustic emission (sound wave) technique in real-time. The significance of this project is to monitor the pipeline damages in real-time and save valuable energy by minimising the wastage due to pipe leakage.

Zohora completed her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh and Master of Engineering (Research) at QUT, Brisbane. She is a passionate research Engineer and a sessional academic at QUT. Zohora is a Graduate member of Engineers Australia (GradIEAust) and an Associate Fellow of Advanced Higher Education (AFHEA).

Zohora became a mentee to understand the opportunities in industry, extend her professional network, learn how to engage with industry and to bridge the industry-academia gap.
