Farhad Ahamed, mentee in the 2019 MedTech-Pharma program in NSW (Western Sydney University).

I am currently  working towards my PhD at Western Sydney University funded through the Research Training Program focusing on application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in aged care. My focus area of research is early detection of dementia by monitoring with IoT sensors. I am also working on fall detection of elderly people using IoT sensors.

I have a Research Masters on Semantic Web Service Discovery and another Research Masters (Honours) on Securing  Cloud computing via Quarantine method. I have a few publications in conferences and journals. Apart from my academic experience I have a solid industry experience in multimedia communication and data network also including experience in Cloud based application deployment life-cycle. I have worked voluntarily with youth to engage them in learning and improved their social skills. In my professional workplace I mentored young IT engineers and with my soft skills I motivated the team consistently to exceed targets and to meet customer satisfaction.
