Eva Chan, mentee in the 2020-21 program in VIC (Monash University).
Eva completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours at Monash University. During her degree she participated in an undergraduate research opportunities program (UROP) and gained experience working on germline stem cells. After completing her undergraduate studies, Eva gained further experience as a research assistant working on projects studying epithelial regeneration. Currently she is working towards her Doctor of Philosophy at Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute. Her research focuses not only on the development of intestinal stem cells but also the interaction between intestinal epithelial cells and the microbiome in disease.
