David Hilko, mentee in the 2020-21 program in QLD (Griffith University)
David is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery (GRIDD), Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. He holds a PhD in organic and medicinal chemistry from Griffith University. David’s research aims to bridge the chemical-biology divide by developing new chemical probes to visualise the biochemical processes of living cells. Motivated by the highly interdisciplinary nature of this research, David looks to foster dynamic and interactive collaborations with an emphasis on the development of new ideas and modular biotechnologies. Other interests include the design and manufacture of 3D-printed labware, and the development of bespoke cell culture systems.
