The Industry Mentoring Network in STEM (IMNIS) has evolved from a small-scale pilot into a prestigious national initiative involving more than 1,300 participants – with 418 motivated PhD students from Australia’s leading universities matched with senior-level industry leaders in a one year industry mentoring partnership.
The 2020-2021 IMNIS programs includes a total of 350 mentoring partnerships. The mentee and mentor cohorts are balanced with 52% of mentees identifying as female and 48% identifying as male. In the mentor cohort, 45% identify as female and 54% as male.
